On the afternoon of June 7, the 2024 Corporate-Sponsored Scholarship Award Ceremony was held at the Yuewei Building of Ningbo College of Materials Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Chen Liang and Wen Xia, deputy directors of the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences (NIMTE), Lei Jinchang, deputy dean of Ningbo College of Materials Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Gu Yongjie, vice director of the Education Foundation Office of CAS, attended the award ceremony. Dai Weiwei, deputy general manager of Zhejiang YUXI, attended the event who was served as a prize presenter of the YUXI-sponsored scholarship.
The scholarship, established in 2022, is the first special graduate scholarship and teaching award project of NIMTE to enter the Education Foundation of CAS. It is designed to reward outstanding graduate students at NIMTE who excel in research projects related to marine materials and applied technologies, including students with outstanding academic achievements, and enthusiasm for public affairs, and community service.
Moreover, YUXI has also donated the “YUXI” teaching award to NIMTE, recognizing outstanding teachers and graduate educators who have made significant contributions to education and teaching, earned the respect of students and peers. Additionally, a special development fund has been provided to the “National Orchestra” of the NIMTE Union, supporting the development of the orchestra and fostering an innovative cultural atmosphere within the institute. These initiatives showcase YUXI’s strong sense of social responsibility and commitment to nurturing talent.
