High Molecular Weight Polyethene (HMWPE) Insulated Cable
HMWPE cable utilizes stranded copper conductors that are insulated with a high molecular weight polyethylene (HMWPE) compound. It provides strong resistance to abrasion, crushing, chemicals, oil, moisture, and other elements.
Description
HMWPE cable is used in a range of infrastructure projects that include municipal water towers, oil containment units, pipelines which are made of steel, oil drilling rigs, cathodic protection wells which contain the anodes, bridges, parking garages, municipal fire hydrants, and concrete structures. HMWPE cable is ideal for connecting the cathode, the structure to be protected, and the anode, the sacrificial component in an impressed current cathodic protection system.
