Tensioned Mixed Metal Oxide (MMO) Coated Anode String
YUXI’s tensioned anode string is an anode array that comprises a series of MMO tubular anodes secured into the perforated PVC casing pipe and chained onto an electrical cable. The terminal anode (the last anode on a string assembly) has a metal loop for attaching a weight. It is a cost-effective option used in the impressed current cathodic protection for the life extension of offshore or marine structures. It can be installed without divers or ROV equipment.

The current output of the anode varies in different applications. Longer working life can be achieved by increasing the coating thickness or reducing the operating current density.
—— Practical Application ——
Our vertical tension anode string is applied in the remote monitoring impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) system for Hong Kong offshore LNG terminal. The cathodic protection current flows from the anode string in the sea water to the jacket, thus polarizes the jacket to a potential — achieving the protection of the jacket from corrosion.
