Thermoplastic High Heat-resistant Nylon-coated (THHN) Cable
Thermoplastic high heat-resistant nylon-coated (THHN) cable has a thin flame-resistant polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation that is covered by an abrasion-resistant nylon sheath. It is popular among electrical contractors as an inexpensive cathodic protection cable that can be used in industrial environments. THHN cables can withstand grease, oil, heat and pass the FT1 flame test.
Description
Most THHN cable comes with the dual rating THHN/THWN, meaning it is usable in both wet and dry conditions, as well as both indoor and outdoor use. They are suitable for applications up to 90ºC in dry locations and 75ºC in wet conditions.
